THE PROCESS
Our ultra-efficient Brewhouse was custom-built for us in Germany in 2020. Every brew starts at our wet mill, where barley and wheat malts are hydrated with hot water and the mashing process begins. The raw materials flow through our mash kettle and lauter tun, where the starches in the malts are converted to fermentable sugars, rinsed, filtered and collected as a sweet liquid called “wort.” That wort is then boiled in our kettle, up to 100 barrels (200 kegs!) at a time. Next, we add the world’s best, most expressive hops at timed intervals to develop bitterness, flavor, and aroma.
After boiling, the wort is quickly cooled and transferred to fermentation tanks, where we add yeast and begin fermentation. During the first week, the yeast converts sugars into alcohol and CO2 while developing the beer's character. Once fermentation is complete, we condition the beer for additional weeks to allow the flavors to round out and mature into something great. The finished beer is then clarified and sent to a brite beer tank for final quality control checks and tasting before release.
That fresh, delicious beer is then sent to our high-speed canning and kegging lines for precise, clean packaging and shipped out cold for you and your friends and family to enjoy . Our team takes a tremendous amount of pride in our facility and our ability to produce consistently excellent brews that embody the high standards of Industrial Arts at every sip.
